Construction of New $11.4M Chatham County Schools Central Services Building Progresses
Brand new administrative offices underway off of Hwy 64 between Pittsboro and Siler City.
These photos of the Central Services Building under-construction and job site sign were taken on May 20, 2022 from Renaissance Rd (aka County Landfill Rd), Pittsboro, NC.
The building site is located close to the Chatham County Detention Center, Chatham County Solid Waste & Recycling facility, and the Chatham Sheriff’s Animal Resource Center.
When it was approved by the Chatham County Commissioners in 2018, the project was expected to encompass the construction of a 2-story building at a cost of $11,142,055. At a Chatham County Board of Education meeting on April 11, 2022, CCS administrators noted the project to be, at that point, on time and on budget.
